Our 2025 Camp Date and Location is still TBD Please Contact Us for Any Questions

Our Program Is Free Of Cost

Since its inception, CoolineKids has believed in providing free and accessible programming for all. However, we can't do this alone, so we kindly ask for a suggested donation of $20 per camper registered for the entire summer. Can't afford that? No worries, our program will continue to be free; this donation is not required.

What Makes CoolineKids Camp Unique?

The All-Inclusive Summer Experience In EPA.

Our program includes Art, Science, Leadership Training, Community Service Opportunities, Sports, Makerspace, Reading, Robotics, Dance, and more!

Students get access to our new STEM Labs from KidsSpark Education, robotics education from Robotics From All, and programming from a variety of enrichment agencies from across the Bay Area.

No other summer program in East Palo Alto provides a comprehensive skill-building experience that includes all of the above.

What more could you ask for?! (tell us! we'd love to see how we can incorporate it into our programs)

The Junior Leaders Experience.

The Junior Leaders Program is designed for rising 6th-8th grade students in our community who want to grow as young service leaders, build healthy friendships, and learn leadership through fun!

A day in the life of a Junior Leader includes participating in whole camp activities, team building with peers, engaging in our Leadership Hour activities and projects, helping set up and serve lunch, playing on our blacktop and playground, and helping our in our Lower (Grades 1-2) classes to help younger children with their projects!

Junior Leaders are NOT staff; they are campers. Junior Leaders are expected to be highly responsible as they will be seen as leaders in our community.

The One Of A Kind Wellness Team

Our Wellness Team was designed to support campers with varying levels of emotional and/or behavioral difficulties at camp.

Every child deserves to participate in a summer program, even one with behavior challenges. At CoolineKids, we meet our students where they are. Sometimes, that might mean building their own special experience with a one-on-one staff member who makes their time extra excellent.

Training for wellness staff includes crisis intervention & de-escalation, classroom support tactics, trauma response behavior, and other topics.

The Convenience In Location

With deep partnerships with other East Palo Alto-based community organizations and schools, we utilize school and center campuses over the summer to operationalize our program and ensure all families are able to access our program. This summer, we will be at EPACENTER Arts at 1950 Bay Road across from Ravenswood Family Health Center.

The Community-Centered Approach

CoolineKids was created in 2014 to open a space for young people to gather for safe fun, and ever since, we've been exposing students to new things, empowering leaders, and transforming lives.

As the communities' needs change, so will how we serve and support, but our commitment to empowering and equipping young leaders will remain.

All of our board members have deep ties to the East Palo Alto community, serve as educators in this city or are residents of East Palo Alto.

Our Programs Align With CA Common Core Standards set by the CA Department of Education.

Did you know CoolineKids is aligned with CA Common Core State Education Standards in the areas of CTE (Career & Technical Education) for both Education/Child Development as well as Hospitality/Recreation for our high school program. And for our younger students our curriculum aligns with Media Arts, Visual Arts, Physical Sciences and Engineering standards of various grade levels.
